Elisabet Hagert is Associate Professor of Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. She is CEO and Chair of the ARCADEMY, Sophiahemmet Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden, where she works clinically with hand- and upper extremity surgery. Her research focus is on the basic science of proprioception as well as clinical aspects of wrist and peripheral nerve disorders. Elisabet has pioneered the use of wide-awake surgery in Sweden, and has contributed new knowledge in the use of WALANT in nerve entrapment and wrist surgery.
